What Newly Sober does

We do one thing: help people find a recovery residence that fits, with everyone involved seeing the same information. Below is what that means for each group we serve — and what we don’t do.

Finding a home

Answer questions about location, budget, structure, and what you need a home to accommodate — medication-assisted treatment, a job schedule, a service animal, a legal obligation. You’ll see matched homes immediately, sorted into Recommended, Strong, Good and Possible based on how well each one lines up with what you asked for.

Every home shows its weekly rate, current open beds, gender policy, minimum stay, and the specific requirements you’d have to meet. If a home can’t accept you, you find out before you call — not after.

Coordinating placements

Built for case managers, discharge planners, and therapists placing clients into recovery housing. Submit a structured request against a home’s stated criteria, track where each client stands, and stop rebuilding the same picture over the phone.

Case manager accounts are reviewed individually during our beta. Access is by invitation while we onboard the first cohort.

Verifying homes

Every home completes a walkthrough and a verification interview with our team before it goes live. We record what we confirmed, track compliance documents and their expiry dates, and re-check when they lapse.

What we don’t do

We’re a placement platform, not a treatment provider. We don’t run peer support groups, mentorship programs, recovery events, or job placement — the homes and their communities do that, and we describe on each listing what a given home offers.

We don’t provide clinical care, we don’t hold your treatment records, and we’re not affiliated with FARR or NARR. We don’t charge for placement priority — ranking is fit, not spend.

We don’t charge residents or families. Searching, matching, and messaging a home are free.
